Visiting Bread of Life Orphanage
Nothing you hear from others nor anything you tell yourself can prepare you for the experience of visiting and embracing orphans. You expect to bring them the love of Christ and bless them by contributing to their physical needs. What you actually experience is their overwhelming love for you. Their smiles, hugs, kisses, and the affection in their eyes represent the love of Christ in a way words could never explain. With every embrace, your love intensifies and your compassion deepens.
Last year I visited several Romanian orphanages, both government and private. I personally saw hundreds of impoverished Romanian children with little hope of escaping the cycle of poverty created by years of communist rule. One Christian orphanage stood out from all the rest – the Bread of Life Orphanage. This orphanage is not just supplying abandoned Romanian children with basic necessities. Bread of Life is calling these children to be disciples of Christ. They are making the most of the resources donated by ministry friends to bring comfort and hope to these children, equipping them to discover and live out God’s calling for their lives. Each time I hugged or kissed a child at the Bread of Life Orphanage, I could feel the presence of God. The Holy Spirit is moving and doing great things through this ministry. I am honored and excited to be a part of what God is doing through Bread of Life.
Let’s make 2016 a year of blessing and favor for Bread of Life Ministries. Holy Spirit move in Bread of Life! Through them bring glory to God by the testimonies of these beautiful children. Lord Jesus, you have a specific plan and purpose for each of these children. Bless the leaders in this ministry, equip them and spur them on to greater works for your glory so that all may know and love you. Amen!
