For God’s Glory
“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen” Romans 11:36
At each years end we take the time to look back and draw some conclusions. Having the financial stability needed to operate several major projects at the same time is our biggest miracle. Yes, there is always some stretching needed; but as the Bible says in Ecclesiastics 4: “a threefold cord is not quickly broken”. Bread of Life is still a small organization but keeping our size small gives us more resources to take care of the poor. Please excuse us if it sounds biased but we believe that through our joined efforts during 2017 the Heavens are rejoicing now. In Luke 15:7a we read “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth”.
We believe the thing that makes Bread of Life unique is that we are a ministry for life. We consider it our privilege and responsibility to take abandoned children, or children from broken and dysfunctional homes and help them make it through life, acquiring education, skills and most importantly, developing Christian character needed to break the cycle of poverty and sin to become independent adult Christian families. What a joy it is for us when we see hopeless children making it through the maze of life and not repeating the mistakes of previous generations. If this brings us so much joy, I can only imagine what goes on in Heaven.
During 2017, we have seen our family of 64 children at the Bread of Life Home diligently cared for every day. Close to 3,000 children through our feeding programs have had the Bible shared with them. We helped feed, clothe, and care for these children using the seven containers of food and clothing we received. We are also happy to report that in 2017 we saw some of these children dedicate their life to God. Many elderly people and those in the leper village helped, and about 2,500 shoebox gifts and much Christian literature distributed to poor children in remote villages. All of these things were done by God’s grace and for His glory.
Your love and dedication for Bread of Life projects honors and humbles us and we feel encouraged to press on. We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do and we do not take your involvement for granted. We are committed to Christian values investing our lives for the poor and needy. We thank you for choosing to be a part of Bread of Life in 2017. God bless you dear friend.
